Minimum requirements
Captains:
* B737-800-900 Type Rating is required
* A minimum of 5,000 hours total flying time
* A minimum of 500 hours in command in B737 type aircraft - with preference given to B737NG command time
* A minimum of 1,500 hours in command of a multi-crew, multi-engine aircraft (jet or turboprop) in excess of 10 tonnes
* ICAO ATPL
* 1st Class Medical
* English language fluency ICAO level 4 or above
* Actively seeking Captains with training experience, i.e., B737NG TRI/TRE/Standards Captain. A solid background in B737NG training would be highly advantageous
* Actively seeking Captains with airline senior management experience
First officers:
* A minimum of 2,500 hours total flying time
* 500 or greater hours in command of a multi-crew, multi-engine aircraft (jet or turboprop) in excess of 10 tonnes
* Significant experience in B737EFIS/NG may be considered in lieu of 500 hours PIC requirement ICAO ATPL
* 1st Class Medical
* English language fluency ICAO level 4 or above
* Preference given to pilots with B737-300-900 Type Rating
The Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed and candidates selected for interview based on their relevant experience and suitability. If your are not contacted within 8 weeks of submitting your application, you can assume that, on this occasion, your application has been unsuccessful.
The selection process is held in Dubai. flydubai shall provide candidates with a free ticket from an Emirates Airline network destination to Dubai; additional travel arrangements shall be at the candidate’s expense.Once in Dubai, flydubai shall provide hotel accommodation for the candidates whilst attending the selection programme.
The programme itself is a two-stage process.
Day 1 consists of a welcome brief, an occupational aptitude/cognitive assessment and a simulator assessment. At the end of the day, candidates will be notified if they have been successful in the first stage of the assessment and will continue onto the second day of the programme.
Day 2 involves a Human Resources brief, psychometric evaluation, panel interview and a medical check. A complete itinerary shall be provided to candidates on their arrival in Dubai.
Following completion of the full selection programme, a decision of suitability will be made and candidates advised within 8 to 12 weeks. Offers will be subject to suitable references being obtained and other pre-joining requirements being met.
